Haryana: Young man died after being run over by a train

A young man, Virender Singh, who lived near the Gurdwara in Kalawali village, died after being hit by a train. The incident occurred near the Desumalkana railway crossing. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Kalawali Railway Police immediately reached the spot, took the body into custody, and sent it to the Sirsa Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

According to reports, Virender Singh, approximately 25 years old, had been suffering from mental distress for several days. He left his home without informing anyone late Wednesday evening. His family members searched for him, but he could not be found. Later, around 11 PM on Wednesday, he committed suicide by jumping in front of the Bathinda-Jaipur Express train traveling from Kalawali to Sirsa.

The incident was so horrific that Virender Singh’s head was severed from his body, and he died on the spot. Following the incident, the railway police immediately arrived at the scene, identified the deceased, and informed his family. According to reports, the deceased, Virender Singh, was the only son of his parents and was unmarried.

According to the police, Virender Singh’s father had passed away earlier. His mother, having only one child, was very protective of Virender and kept him close to her at all times. Upon learning of the incident, his mother was inconsolable. In this regard, Railway Police Post In-charge Bhup Singh stated that upon receiving information about the incident, the police immediately reached the spot and took the body into custody. The post-mortem examination will be conducted today at the general hospital in Sirsa. The police are investigating the matter.
