    YouTuber Jyoti’s sixth hearing in Pak espionage case today, Custody to complete on August 15

    Hisar YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan, will appear in court for the sixth time through video conferencing. Jyoti’s 90-day custody is ending on August 15 and the police have to file a chargesheet within this time limit.

    She faces serious charges like espionage, endangering national security and sharing confidential information under Section 152 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) and Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

    At the same time, Jyoti’s lawyer Kumar Mukesh claims that his client is innocent and has fully cooperated in the investigation, but the police do not have any concrete evidence yet. If the chargesheet is not filed within the stipulated time, they will apply for default bail on August 15.

    On the other hand, Jyoti’s birthday was on August 1, for which her father may go to jail on Tuesday to wish her. Let us tell you, Hisar Police registered an FIR on May 16 and arrested Jyoti on May 17. She was first taken on remand for 5 days, then extended for 4 more days, after which the court sent her to judicial custody.

    Central agencies reached Jyoti through Ghazala and Danish

    The agencies also found a Punjab connection behind reaching Pakistani embassy officer Danish and YouTuber Jyoti. After India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ air strike on Pakistan on the night of May 6-7, the agencies were active across the country.

    During this time, Ghazala Khatoon was arrested on May 8 from Malerkotla in Punjab on suspicion of spying for Pakistan for suspicious activities. Ghazala told during interrogation that she was in constant touch with Danish. He used to send money online. In return, Danish used to take intelligence information from her.
