Gurugram : 10 people of three families living in Rajiv Nagar street number three of Sector 14 police station area fell ill after eating buckwheat flour on Mahashivratri.
These also include three children. Everyone was taken to civil hospital. The condition of a young man here is critical. After the complaint in Sector 14 police station, the Food Safety Department has started investigating the matter. The department has also taken samples from the general store.
Hansraj, a resident of Rajiv Nagar, told that during the fast on the festival of Mahashivratri on Friday, buckwheat flour had come to his house from the neighboring Mateshwari General Store. His 29-year-old son Nitin, 30-year-old son-in-law Sonam and 65-year-old Rajwati fell ill after eating the dumplings made from it.
He was taken to civil hospital. Nitin’s condition here is serious. Along with this, seven people including three children of two other families living in their neighborhood fell ill. His treatment is also going on in a private hospital. Everyone is out of danger.
Hansraj told that people’s health deteriorated after eating. Vomiting, diarrhea and body shivering started. Doctors have said that it may be food poisoning.
The matter has been reported in Sector 14 police station. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan of the Food Safety Department arrived with the team and collected samples of buckwheat flour, sugar and honey from the general store. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan said that it will be sent to the lab. Action will be taken in the matter after the report comes.
