15-year-old minor girl raped in Hisar, case registered under POSCO Act

It is alleged that the village sarpanch was trying to suppress the matter.

A 15-year-old girl was raped in Hisar, Haryana. The accused called the minor on the pretext of keeping some stuff and held her hostage in the house with the help of his accomplice. After the incident, the accused left the victim in front of the house and fled.

The victim’s mother told the police that on January 18, she was working at her home. Her 15-year-old daughter was playing outside the house. It got dark at 6 in the evening, so she called out to call her daughter, but she was not found in the street. When her husband came home at 11 in the night, he called the relatives, but the daughter was nowhere to be found. In the morning, when her daughter came home alone, she was scared when she asked about where she have been.

The mother told in the complaint that her daughter was called by the accused Rajesh to keep some stuff inside the house. Another youth named Ravi was inside the house. Rajesh locked her there with Ravi and went away after locking it from outside. After a while, Ravi called Rajesh and got the lock opened.

After this, Ravi took her on his bike to a field. He called a car there. He took her in a car to someone’s house. He left her in a room on the roof. Accused Ravi went to another room. Then at 6 am he left her in the street outside her house. He threatened her that if she told anyone, he would kill her and her family.

The police have registered a case under POCSO Act and other sections. It is alleged that the village sarpanch was trying to suppress the matter. The accused are said to be acquaintances of the sarpanch.
