RPF SI Nirmal said that the activities of a young man on platform number 1 of Ambala Cantt station seemed suspicious. After which, the RPF team searched him on the basis of suspicion, and a large quantity of opium was recovered from his bag.
Opium worth 8 lakhs has been recovered
According to RPF officials, about 3 kg 25 grams of opium was found in the accused’s bag. After this, the RPF team took him into custody. RPF officials have interrogated him a lot, but no clue has been found yet as to who he used to work for. From where he used to get it, or where he used to sell it. At the same time, the estimated price of this opium has been estimated to be Rs 8,12,500.
According to RPF SI Nirmal, a case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act. At the same time, the accused has been identified as Virendra Dangi, son of Ramjeet Dangi, resident of the village of Unta, district Chhatra, Jharkhand. He said that the age of the accused is about 40 years. All his documents etc., have been called for now.
