Shiva, who became a victim of cyber thugs, told the police in his complaint that he is a resident of Kharak Jatan. He received a call from an unknown number at 4.30 pm. The caller introduced himself as an employee of Axis Bank and said that he wants to increase the limit of my credit card.

According to the victim, the caller asked him to open the Axis Bank app and then sent a link on WhatsApp. As soon as he clicked on the link, a message came on his phone, informing him that an amount of Rs 49,882 and 94 paise had been deducted from his card.

The Lakhan Majra police station has registered a case of fraud against the unknown accused in the case. The victim has demanded strict action against the accused, along with getting his money back from the police.

Cyber ​​experts say that to avoid such fraud, one should not share banking-related information on any unknown call or click on any unknown link. In case of doubt, one should immediately contact the official helpline of his bank.
