730 EVM machines will arrive in Panipat today: Voting for civic elections tomorrow

In this election, 4 lakh 11 thousand 38 voters will vote for 26 wards.

Panipat Municipal Corporation elections will be held tomorrow i.e. Sunday, March 9. EVMs will be allotted for this today. DC and District Election Officer Dr. Virendra Kumar Dahiya said that all preparations have been completed for the elections of Municipal Councilor and Mayor to be held on March 9.

Meanwhile, a letter has been written to the Bar Association by the District Election Officer. In which he has written that lawyers must keep their I-card with them while voting. Because in the Bar Association elections held on February 28, lawyers also had ink on their fingers.

In such a situation, to avoid any dispute with them at the polling station, they will vote by showing their I-card issued by the Bar. On Saturday, all the polling parties will be distributed slips and sent off. In this election, 4 lakh 11 thousand 38 voters will vote for 26 wards.

Among them, 1 lakh 92 thousand 164 are women voters. At the same time, there are 2 lakh 18 thousand 861 male voters and 13 transgenders. The District Election Officer said that 365 booths have been set up for the elections.
