Drugs worth Rs 40 lakh seizes in Rohtak, HSNCB arrests accuse

Rohtak: An accused has been arrested in Rohtak with narcotic injections worth about Rs 40 lakh. About 5650 banned NRX pentazocines have been recovered from the accused’s Scorpio car. The Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) team has arrested the accused by conducting a blockade. He is being questioned. The accused has been identified as Sumit, a resident of the village of Maina.

HSNCB had received information that the accused Sumit works in the sale of the banned injection NRX Pentazocine. He will go from village Bahu Akbarpur to Rohtak in his Scorpio car with banned injections. According to this information, a blockade was made in the village of Bahu Akbarpur.

Meanwhile, a Scorpio car without a number was seen coming, which was stopped by the police. After this, a search was conducted in front of gazetted officer SDO Ashok Kumar Bansal.


When the police searched the car, five cartons were found on its middle seat. When checked, banned medicines were found in them. 900 injections were found in one carton, 1200 injections in the second carton, 1200 injections in the third carton, 1200 injections in the fourth carton, and 1150 banned injections in the fifth carton. A total of 5650 injections were found, whose cost is being said to be around 40 lakh rupees.

Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau Rohtak Unit Incharge Inspector Pawan Kumar said that banned injections have been recovered from the accused Sumit. The accused will be produced in court and questioned, and action will be taken against the accused after finding out about other suppliers and supplies. A case has been registered against the accused under sections of the NDPS Act at the Bahu Akbarpur police station.
