Rewari: In Haryana, action has started against the corruption spread in the Urban Local Bodies Ministry. On Wednesday, Urban Local Bodies Minister Subhash Sudha suspended officers from 3 different districts. The minister had received corruption complaints against all three, after which action was taken against them.
Minister Subhash Sudha said that corruption complaints were being received against Suresh Sharma, an accountant working in Bhuna Municipality of Fatehabad district for a long time. Suresh Sharma was embezzling government money and transferring it to his accounts. When the complaint reached him, the action was taken with immediate effect, and he was suspended. Similarly, corruption complaints were also received against the Secretary of Rania Municipality in Sirsa district. He has also been suspended.
Municipal Minister Subhash Sudha said that recently she received a complaint against an ME of Narwana Nagar Palika of Jind district for encroaching government land worth Rs 5 crore. Immediate cognizance was taken on this, and orders were given for departmental inquiry along with suspending the ME. Subhash Sudha said that within a very short time, action has been taken against 30 officers and employees in the entire state after receiving such complaints.
Minister Sudha said that I clearly ordered the officers to improve their working style; otherwise, strict action would be taken against them. Subhash Sudha also said that corruption will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We aim to work for the welfare of the people of the state.
