Agniveers to get jobs in Haryana without CET: HSSC proposal to Haryana Govt

Earlier, the Haryana government decided to give 10% reservation to Agniveers in police and mining guard recruitment after retirement from the army.

The Haryana government is considering giving exemption to Agniveers from the Common Eligibility Test (CET) in Group-C posts. Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has also suggested this in the CET amendment proposal.

If the government approves it, then Agniveers will not need to pass CET for Group-C posts. Earlier, the Haryana government decided to give 10% reservation to Agniveers in police and mining guard recruitment after retirement from the army.

The state government has also announced to give 5 percent reservation to Agniveers for recruitment to Group-C posts. Candidates participating in these recruitments will be given relief in the maximum age limit. According to the recruitment rules, Agniveers will get 3 years of relaxation in age.

For such Agniveers who will be out of a job after 4 years and want to start their own business, interest-free loans will also be made available. In the assembly session, the government announced an interest-free loan of up to 10 lakhs for Agniveers to start their own business.

The Haryana government has given relief to Agniveers working in the private sector. CM Naib Saini has announced that if any industrial unit pays more than Rs 30,000 per month to Agniveers, then the Haryana government will give a subsidy of Rs 60,000 annually to that industrial unit.
