As all the parties are gearing up for Haryana assembly elections which are scheduled to be held next month, a question has developed curiosity in the political circle about whether Congress and AAP will ally for the Haryana Polls or not. As all the parties are gearing up for Haryana assembly elections which are scheduled to be held next month, a question has developed curiosity in the political circle about whether Congress and AAP will ally for the Haryana Polls or not.

Until Sunday, both the parties were clear of contesting all 90 seats. Even on Sunday, All India Congress Committee General Secretary and former union minister Kumari Selja said that congress will fight and win strongly on each of the 90 assembly seats.

But, it is being learnt that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, on Monday, shown an interest in an alliance between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the Haryana elections… and…Gandhi had sought opinions of Haryana Congress leaders over the possibility of an alliance between the two parties during the Congress’ Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting.

Now, mixed reactions are coming from different leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party as AAP leaders had also earlier announced to contest all 90 seats alone.

AAP President from Haryana Sushil Gupta said that at present AAP is gearing up to contest from all 90 seats. However, he added that the call of alliance will be taken by the high command.

Earlier in the morning, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that he welcomed the reports that Gandhi is exploring an option of alliance with AAP. Sanjay Singh said that their priority is to defeat the BJP while adding that Haryana in-charge Sandeep Pathak and Sushil Gupta will discuss it and take a final decision after consulting AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

Even AAP Minister Atishi also reacted to Congress-AAP alliance in Haryana and said Rahul Gandhi has sought opinions from Congress leaders, and it is up to them to provide their responses. She added that a decision will be made only after Arvind Kejriwal gives his stance.
