Air Quality deteriorates in Haryana; AQI soars to 500 in Gurugram, 416 in Fatehabad

Apart from this, FIR has been filed against 186 farmers so far while 34 have been arrested.

Gurugram: The condition of air has deteriorated due to pollution in Haryana even before Diwali. In Gurugram, the air quality (AQI) has reached 500. Such level of pollution can cause anyone ailments related to breathing and lungs. The same situation has arisen in Fatehabad as well due to AQI being 416.

The concentration of  Pm-10 pollutants has started increasing in the state. This can cause more problems in Gurugram and Fatehabad. Seeing the situation worsening, GRAP Two has been implemented in Delhi NCR. 14 districts of Haryana come in NCR which include Faridabad, Gurugram, Nuh, Rohtak, Sonipat, Rewari, Jhajjar, Panipat, Palwal, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Jind and Karnal.

Despite the ever-increasing pollution, the cases of stubble burning are not stopping. Till now stubble has been burnt at 713 places in the state. After the reprimand of the Supreme Court, the Haryana government is also seen in some action.

The government has suspended 26 employees. 11 officials have been chargesheeted while 383 officials have been served notices. Apart from this, FIR has been filed against 186 farmers so far while 34 have been arrested.
