Husband-wife, son-daughter die in Mahendragarh

They were burned in a fire in the house due to a gas cylinder; all four had come to the village to celebrate holidays.

Mahendragarh: All four members of the same family died in a fire caused by a gas cylinder (LPG) leak on June 19 in Mahendragarh, Haryana. The husband-wife and their son died in Rohtak PGI on Saturday, and the daughter also died on Sunday. There is mourning in the village due to the tragic deaths of the entire family. All four were cremated in a single pyre on Sunday.

Dr. Narendra, a resident of Khurana village, said that his elder brother Vijendra (48) was a private teacher in Rajasthan. His sister-in-law, Manju (44), was also an Anganwadi worker there. They had come to the village to celebrate holidays 10–12 days ago with their two children, Rohit (14) and Chanchal (11). They were in Dhani Khargawan village, Khudana Bas. On Wednesday, June 19, at around 8:30 a.m., everyone was in the kitchen. During this time, a fire broke out due to gas leakage from the cylinder. All four members of the family were burned in the accident.

The husband-wife and brother-sister were brought to Mahendragarh Civil Hospital for treatment in a badly burned condition. From there, they were taken to Rohtak PGI. His brother, sister-in-law, and nephew died on Saturday. The niece died this morning. The last rites were performed together in the village. No one would have thought that the whole family would perish together like this. There is mourning in the entire village after this tragic accident.
