Ambala: In Ambala, the CIA-2 team arrests two drug smugglers. Police had seized 630 grams of cannabis, and after arresting them, police have started probing into the case.
Ambala police and the CIA-2 team were patrolling near Kakdu village. The police have received information that two smugglers will pass by this route to sell cannabis in their cars.
After receiving the information, near the Sadopur barrier, police blockaded the road and arrested them with a Verna car. The person’s name is Hitesh Sharma, who was driving the car, and the name of the other person is Vinay Kumar.
On searching the vehicle in the presence of the duty magistrate, 630 grams of cannabis were recovered from an envelope near the gear of the car.
CIA-2 has taken the accused into custody and is interrogating them. A case has been registered against both the accused under the NDPS Act at Baldev Nagar police station, and an investigation has started.
