Female shopkeeper robbed in Panipat

3 youths came on the pretext of buying face wash; Got entangled in the conversation and ran away with the cash.

Haryana: An incident of robbery took place with a female shopkeeper in village Ujha in Panipat, Haryana. Three youths had come to the shop on the pretext of buying face wash. He engaged the woman in an argument over the issue of not having the money in hand. After this, as soon as they got the opportunity, they picked up Rs 5,000 in cash from the bag and all three ran away on a bike. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused.


In the complaint given to Chandnibagh police station, Rani told that she is a resident of village Ujha. He has a shop outside his house. She was sitting at the shop on the afternoon of 25th May. At around 1.45 pm, three youths riding a bike came to his shop. One of the boys got down from the bike and came inside the shop.

The female shopkeeper told that two boys were riding a bike outside. The bike was started. The young man who came to the shop asked for face wash. He gave face wash to the young man. After this the young man gave him Rs 500. To which the woman said that she did not have the keys. So the young man asked to give two face washes.

Yet the woman said that even after this she would not have the money to return it. Meanwhile another young man came inside the shop. While engaging in conversation, as soon as he got a chance, a boy took out 5 thousand rupees from the bag. He had kept the said money to pay the installment. After this, all three fled away on the bike.
