Asthi Kalash Yatra of OP chautala from today, to cover 22 districts in 3 days

INLD state president Rampal Majra has said that for those who could not reach the funeral, Asthi Kalash Yatra is being taken out in all 22 districts, so that people can pay tribute to them.

The Asthi Kalash Yatra of INLD supremo OP Chautala, who was the 5-time CM of Haryana, will start from today. The yatra will start from Fatehabad. After this, it will go to Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh (Narnaul) and Rewari. From here the yatra will enter Gurugram, where it will rest for the night.

Apart from Haryana, the urns will also be taken to pilgrimage sites in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab. OP Chautala’s ritual turban and tribute ceremony will be held on December 31 at Chaudhary Devi Lal Stadium in Sirsa.

OP Chautala died on December 20 in Gurugram at the age of 89. He suffered a heart attack here at around 11:30 in the afternoon. The family took him to the hospital, but he breathed his last about half an hour later at 12 noon. Chautala was already suffering from many diseases including heart and diabetes.

After his death, OP Chautala’s body was brought from Gurugram to the farm house in Tejakheda village of Sirsa in the evening. Here on December 21, his body was cremated with state honors. During this, elder son Ajay Chautala and younger son Abhay Chautala together lit the funeral pyre. His 4 grandsons Dushyant Chautala, Digvijay Chautala, Arjun Chautala and Karna Chautala performed the last rites.
