Sube Singh, a resident of Durjanpur village, told the police that Jagbir and Amit, residents of Keharpura in Bhiwani, used to come to his village. He got in touch with them and was convinced to get his two sons recruited in the army and gave them four lakh rupees in cash in 2018. The accused took his sons to Siliguri and made them spend 1 lakh there. But when the work did not work out, he told them that they would get a job in the next recruitment.
After this, in 2020, the accused came to the victim’s house and again demanded 12 lakh rupees for the job of both the sons and told them that they would get both his sons a job soon. After this, the victim gave him the cash amount. In August and September 2021, the accused went to Srinagar twice by plane, and after roaming with his sons for several days, they left them in front of the Army office and fled.
The accused gave fake documents for recruitment in the Army. When shown to the officers, they turned out to be fake. After this, when the accused were asked for money, they prepared fake documents of Jabalpur recruitment and took them to Bareilly in 2022.
The joining letter and documents given by the accused turned out to be fake. But the sons of the victim, Sube Singh, did not get the job, and the accused grabbed a total of Rs 16 lakh. When he asked for the money, they threatened to kill him. Police station in-charge Murari Lal said that a case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the victim, Sube Singh. The accused will be caught soon after investigating the matter.
