Bhiwani: In Bhiwani, through a fake loan app, a person is being blackmailed. A person’s contact list has been hacked, and to all the people, pornography messages have been sent.
The Cyber Crime Police Station has registered a case on the complaint of the victim.
The victim downloaded the app after seeing the advertisement.
Bhopal Singh, a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, told that he recently worked at Laxmi Bikaner Sweets, located at Hansi Gate in Bhiwani. On May 30, 2024, he was watching social media. He saw an advertisement on social media. When he clicked on it, an option to download an app came up.
When he clicked on it, an APK file was downloaded to my mobile. He uploaded a photo of my PAN card and Aadhar card, but did not receive any loan money in the account.
Messages started coming to repay the loan without taking a loan.
Bhopal told me that after about 5–6 days, messages related to repaying the loan started coming to me on WhatsApp from different WhatsApp numbers. He accessed all the data on my mobile (contact list, media storage). My pornography Photoshop started going to people he knew from my contact list.
Money is being demanded from the victim, and if he don’t give the money, he is being blackmailed by sending messages from different numbers.
After tired of everything, he has filed a case with the cybercrime police station.
