Gurugram Tragedy: 3 lives lost in electric shock incident

Water was filled near IFFCO Metro; a quality engineer was also among the dead.

Gurugram: A big accident happened last night in Gurugram, Haryana. Three youths returning home after crossing the IFFCO Chowk Metro died due to an electric current. This accident happened due to the open electric wire of the street light lying on the side of the footpath. Due to the wire being open, there was a current in the water that filled the side of the road after the rain.

The police say that this accident happened due to the high-tension line breaking due to strong wind and rain last night. However, nothing like this was seen on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Divesh, Jaipal and Wasi Uzzama. The family members allege that the way the open wires were lying on the side of the road, the negligence of the electricity corporation is visible. All three people had taken the help of the footpath to avoid the water filled on the road after the rain. Due to the metro station, a large number of people keep coming from here.

On the other hand, even after such a big accident, the administration is trying to cover up the matter. The family members of the deceased have accused the electricity corporation, police, and administration of negligence and have demanded compensation and legal action. Inspection of the spot clearly shows that there are some open wires there, and this accident might have happened due to the current in them.

One of the deceased has been identified as Jaipal, a resident of Nangal Chaudhary, district Mahendragarh. He is a driver for a Korean company. The name of the second deceased is Divesh, and he is a resident of Unnao, UP. The name of the third deceased is Wasi Uzzama, and he is a resident of Sultanpur, UP. He worked as a quality engineer at Malhotra Cable Company, Manesar IMT.
