On Tuesday late evening, two bike-borne youths suddenly opened fire at Balaji Beej Bhandar located on Rajbaha Road in Uchana. No one was injured in the firing, but the glass of the main gate of the shop was damaged. After the incident, an atmosphere of panic prevailed in the area.
Shop owner Surendra Garg said that he was sitting at his shop as usual. There was no dispute with anyone. Suddenly two youths, whose faces were covered, came on a bike and stopped in front of the shop and fired two shots. Both the bullets hit the glass of the shop and after the firing, the youths fled from the spot.
Local police reached the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received. Outpost in-charge Rajbir said that as soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot. The area has been cordoned off and investigation has been started.
Different teams have been formed to search for the suspects. At present, the reason behind the firing is not clear. The police is examining the CCTV footage installed nearby. The matter is being investigated seriously.
