Biogas plant being built in Ambala will start soon, made at cost of Rs 85 Lakh

The second biogas plant of the state is being set up in Sullar village, 12 km from Ambala city.

The foundation of the biogas power plant in Ambala was laid 3 years ago by the then Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala. Even after 3 years, this plant has not been started yet. However, the machinery has been fully installed and speculations are being made that it will be inaugurated soon.

The second biogas plant of the state is being set up in Sullar village, 12 km from Ambala city. It has been three years since its foundation stone was laid. But it has not been started yet. The plant is almost completely ready, all the machinery has arrived.

Now the only thing that is awaited is the tractor-trolley to collect cow dung to operate the plant. Along with this, some arrangements for water have also not been made. It is believed that soon, all these problems will be resolved and people will start getting biogas. This is the second biogas plant in the state after Uklana in Hisar.

The project cost of the biogas plant built in Sundar village of Ambala is Rs 85 lakh. It has been built by a Mohali company under the supervision of the Panchayati Raj Department. In the first phase, the target has been set to reach about 100 houses in the village. Pipelines have also been laid at many places.
