Panipat: Internal strife is continuously coming to the fore in Haryana BJP.
About 5 days ago, BJP issued show cause notices to five party officials of Panipat who opposed the party and former CM Manohar Lal, the candidate from Karnal, in the Lok Sabha elections. One of these five officials, Avtar Singh Shastri, has relieved himself from the BJP on Saturday. Actually, the party had issued a notice to Avtar Shastri, former Sarpanch of Baroli, close to Cooperation Minister Mahipal Dhanda and Shakti Kendra Pramukh in BJP. He is accused of saying during a conversation at the residence of urban MLA Pramod Vij that do not give more votes to Punjabis. Whereas Avtar has called it a conspiracy.
In the resignation copy given to District President Dushyant Bhatt, Avtar Singh Shastri wrote that, I am working as Shakti Kendra Pramukh village Baroli. Till date, I have served my post and the party with all my heart, and whatever responsibility has been given to me at the party level, I have fulfilled it honestly.
But for the last few days, some conspirators within the party want to tarnish my image by conspiring against the party activities. Due to which my feelings have been hurt. Saddened by this conspiracy, I resign from all my posts and party membership in BJP with immediate effect. This resignation of mine should be considered effective immediately.
BJP District General Secretary Krishna Choukkar wrote in the notice given on May 28 that Avtar Shastri, Shakti Kendra Pramukh (Badouli), on May 16, at the residence of Panipat Urban MLA Pramod Vij, in front of BJP workers and enlightened citizens of the society, you made indecent remarks and used unparliamentary language about former Chief Minister and Karnal Lok Sabha MP candidate Manohar Lal.
From your statement, it seemed that you were trying to discourage the workers during the elections and were commenting not to give more votes to former Chief Minister and Karnal Lok Sabha MP candidate Manohar Lal. Why should disciplinary action not be taken against you for this behaviour? You should answer this question within one week from the date of issue of the notice.
