Bolero pickup full of illegal liquor caught in Sonipat; vehicle seized

Police have recovered a huge amount of illegal liquor in Sonipat. Police have seized 200 boxes of illegal liquor from a Mahindra Bolero pickup vehicle. However, the owner of the vehicle managed to escape from the spot. The accused was carrying the illegal liquor hidden in cardboard boxes behind plastic crates. Police are searching for the accused and have registered a case and started further investigation.

ASI Ajay of Sadar police station said that he was on patrol with his team. During this, he received information that illegal liquor was kept in a white Mahindra Bolero pickup near the wall of the dispensary in front of Shri Balaji Public School in the village of Bidhal. Considering the information to be reliable, the police team immediately reached the spot.

The police reached the spot and recovered the vehicle with the mentioned number. The vehicle had a yellow number plate in front, while there was no number plate at the back. On interrogating the people around, no information could be found about the owner of the vehicle. When the police opened the rear door of the vehicle and searched it, they found illegal liquor of the brand ‘Imperial Style’ in cardboard boxes behind plastic crates. Each box contained 48 bottles. A total of 200 boxes were recovered during the search.
