Ambala: A case of fraud of Rs 20.66 lakh in the name of sending him to America and holding him hostage abroad has come to light in Ambala, Haryana. The father of the youth sent a complaint to CM Haryana and requested for action, after which the police of Mullana police station registered a case of fraud against 3 people including the accused agent and started investigation.
Multan Singh, a resident of Jhadu Majra village of Ambala, has submitted a complaint to CM Haryana. He wanted to send his son to America. He was not able to find any agent. Vinod Kumar, a resident of Ramrai village of Jind, used to come to his village. He had information about him. The accused said that he also works as an agent and he will send your son to America.
The accused agent told that at present America’s scheme has come, for which you will have to spend Rs 20.66 lakh. The victim sold his farm to send his son abroad and borrowed Rs 5 lakh from his brother. He gave Rs 20 lakh to the accused agent Vinod Kumar.
The accused agent sent his son to Sanegan with a visa. Here his son was kept hostage in a room for 4 months. When he asked, he was told that your son is on the way, he will reach soon. The complainant told that the accused agent also asked for some money back through his son. When his son did not reach abroad, he came to know about the fraud. He somehow called his son back to India from abroad by spending Rs 1.80 lakh.
On the basis of the complaint, the police of Mullana police station has registered a case against the accused agent Vinod Kumar, Kavita, Sanju alias Sudhra Godara under sections 406,420,506 and started investigation.
