Gurugram: A case of fraud of Rs 54 lakh in the name of Adani Health Ventures has come to light in Pataudi, Gurugram. The accused had offered to open a franchise to the victim. Bilaspur police station has registered a case against the accused and started an investigation.
Sector 46 resident victim Jitendra Kumar said that on April 15, Shashi Sinha and Soumyajit Ganguly contacted him as representatives of AHVL. Who offered to open three pharma franchises on behalf of the company? During this time it was decided to open the first store in Sector-46 Huda Market Gurugram, the second in Bilaspur Chowk NH-8, and the third in Huda Market, Sector-10 Gurugram.
Accused Soumyajit Ganguly came to Gurugram and took a DD of Rs 15 lakh and Rs 5 lakh in cash as advance from the victim. According to the victim, the fraudsters also appointed M/s JP Enterprises as interior designers for the interior work of the pharmacy shop. Indrashis Das visited twice on behalf of the designer company.
All the meetings, payments, and agreements were done at the evergreen Regency/Hotel in Bilaspur Chowk. During this time, a deal was made to hand over the possession of the store by May 10, 2024, and the victim waited for the work to start. By then the fraud gang had taken Rs 54 lakh from the victim in the form of DD and cash in different accounts.
On May 25, 2024, the victim called Indrashis (interior designer), and he told him that the phones of all the officials of the company were switched off. His Calcutta office, from where he used to work, is also closed. His payment for the work is also pending. On talking about the fraud, the victim lodged a case in Bilaspur police station.
