Chandigarh: Admission process commences in PGI school of Nursing

Forms will be filled till June 30, entrance exam on July 26.

Chandigarh: Chandigarh PGI has started the admission process for BSc Basic and Post Basic in School of Nursing. With 95 seats in BSc Basic and 60 seats in Post Basic. Admission form will be filled online at official website of PGI.

The last date for filling the form is 30 June. Every year more than five thousand students apply for these two courses in PGI School of Nursing.

The date of entrance exam in PGI School of Nursing is 26 July. For this, students between 17 to 25 years (general) can apply. Applications can be made for these seats only through online medium.

5 percent seats have been reserved for 40 to 50 percent disabled candidates. However, such candidates will have to submit a certificate issued by the State Government or the Government of India for being 40 to 50 percent disabled.

Students with BSc Basic from PGI are admitted to the institute. In such a situation, the process of admission in PGI also becomes difficult due to admission here. Nursing is a field that demands a lot of dedication. Nursing staff stays with the patient more than the doctor.

PGI is more crowded than other hospitals, due to which there is more to learn. In such a situation, training along with studying in PGI plays an important role.

With the increase in nursing seats in GMCH last year, more options have increased for the students of Chandigarh and nearby areas. Currently, BSc Nursing course is being conducted only in PGI and GMCH in the city.

GMCH was working on this for many years. In the current course, the hospital had 35 seats earlier, which has now become 60.

Earlier, GMSH-16 was conducting GNM Nursing course, which had 20 seats. Now this course has been closed. PGI has 95 seats for BSc, 60 in Post Basic and 31 in MSc. In such a situation, the students of Chandigarh are benefiting from the seats. The entrance for admission in BSc in both the hospitals is quite difficult.
