In Sonipat PNB chief manager found dead under suspicious circumstances in hotel

Employees said his health suddenly deteriorated at night; he was a resident of Uttarakhand. 

Sonipat: The body of the Chief Manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB) has been found in a private hotel above the NK Tower Guest House on GT Road in Panipat, Haryana. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Rakesh Kumar. He was originally a resident of Rudrapur in Uttarakhand.

Rakesh has been working at Punjab National Bank for the last 20 years, and for the last 4 years, he was posted in the CBP branch of Punjab National Bank behind the Hive Hotel in Panipat. Hotel employees said that Rakesh’s health suddenly deteriorated at around 9 pm on Friday.

The hotel employees informed Rakesh’s family about this. By the time the family reached the spot, Rakesh had died. On getting information about the case, the police reached the spot. After taking all the necessary action, the body was sent to the civil hospital. Based on the statements of the family members, the police took immediate action, got the postmortem done, and handed over the body to the family.

After the postmortem, the family is going towards their ancestral place, Rudrapur, with the body. The family members say that they will perform the last rites in the cremation ground of their native village. At the same time, the employees union of Punjab National Bank has also given financial assistance of Rs 20,000 on the spot to the victim’s family for the last rites of the deceased.

Punjab National Bank officials Kamal Girdhar and Subhash said that the deceased Rakesh was working as Chief Manager in the CBP branch of Punjab National Bank. This branch is behind the Hive Hotel. Rakesh lived in the hotel above the NK Tower Guest House near this.
