Faridabad: A child was murdered for ransom in Faridabad, Haryana. A debt-ridden chemist kidnapped the child. After this, he injected him with a narcotic to make him unconscious. The child died due to the high amount of narcotics in the injection.
After the death of the child, the panicked chemist threw his body in the Agra canal passing through Fatehpur to destroy it, but the body got stuck in the bushes. After this, the accused started searching for the child with the family, but the family caught him on suspicion and handed him over to the police.
On the indication of the chemist, the body of the child was recovered from the Agra Canal. The police are engaged in the postmortem and other actions of the body. The family has accused the police of negligence. There was also a ruckus in the police station regarding this.
According to the information, Umesh Chand has a grocery shop in Sector 62 Ashiana Flat in Ballabhgarh. On June 13, around 6:30 p.m., his son Kush, 13, left his shop on a bicycle to buy ice from a neighbouring shop. When the child did not return with ice, his mother, Priyanka, started searching for him, but Kush was nowhere to be found.
Vishal, who runs a medicine shop in the neighborhood, was with his family in search of the child. After a long search, the child’s bicycle was found on the roof of Vishal’s house. After this, based on CCTV, the child’s parents and other neighbors suspected Vishal of kidnapping the child, and they caught him and handed him over to the police.
According to the child’s parents, they had caught a total of three people, including Vishal, and handed them over to the police, out of which the police released the others.
When the police interrogated chemist Vishal, he revealed the secret of the child’s murder. He said that he had given an injection of drugs to make the child unconscious, but he died due to the overdose. The body was then thrown into the canal, and he, along with the child’s family, started acting out the drama of searching for him. The police have recovered the child’s body on his indication. Instead of floating further, the body got stuck in the bushes.
According to the child’s father, Umesh Chand, his neighbor Vishal, who killed his son, is deeply in debt. To pay off this debt, he kidnapped the child to demand ransom. The child was studying in class 8.
Umesh Chand said that the police had been negligent in the case. He caught the accused, Vishal, in just 6 hours and handed him over to the police, but the police could not find out about the child from the accused in time. Due to this, his child lost his life.
SHO Krishna of the Adarsh Nagar police station says that a case has been registered against the accused based on the statement of the child’s family. Vishal will be arrested, produced in court, and taken on remand. So that other accused can also be revealed during interrogation during remand.
