Police arrests accused in Rs 4.5 crore cash robbery case in Rewari

He committed the crime by taking them hostage while going from Delhi to Gujarat. He is a resident of UP.

Rewari: The CIA-1 team has arrested another accused involved in the incident of looting Rs 4.5 crore cash by taking the employees of a Gujarat company hostage on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in the Rewari district of Haryana. The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammad Yunus alias Bhura, a resident of Modinagar, Ghaziabad district of UP.

According to the information received from Rewari Police, Karan Patel, a resident of Unja, Mehsana district of Gujarat, was going from Delhi to Ahmedabad in a company car with his partner Gajendra Rathore on the night of September 20, 2018. Some people took them hostage near Dharuhera on the Delhi-Jaipur highway and looted their car and the company’s Rs 4.5 crore.

Dharuhera police station had already registered a case under various sections, including robbery, arrested 11 accused, and recovered about 2 crore and 52 lakh rupees from them from the looted amount. The arrested accused, Mohammad Javed, told the police during interrogation that he had given 15 lakh rupees from the looted amount to his maternal uncle, Mohammad Yunus alias Bhura.

In this case, the CIA-1 team has also arrested another accused, Mohammad Yunus alias Bhura, a resident of Modinagar, Ghaziabad district of UP. The police produced the accused in Rewari court and took him on a one-day police remand for interrogation.
