Fatehabad: In Fatehabad district, clerks went on a 3-day strike from today. They staged a sit-in outside the Mini Secretariat and raised slogans against the government. The Clerical Association Welfare Society Organization says that they are continuously struggling for the demand of 35 thousand 400 salary. But the government is not fulfilling their demand. Therefore, now it has been decided to go on strike on 12, 13, and 14 August.
The district head of the Clerical Association Welfare Society Organization, Sandeep Punia, said that today clerks are on strike in the entire state. They are struggling with their demands by staging a sit-in at the district level. He said that last year also the clerk organization had gone on strike. After which the government assured to fulfil the demands soon. But now the clerks are on strike again due to the demand not being met.
Sandeep Punia said that if the government does not accept the demand, then their three-day strike can be extended further. Due to this, many government works, including registries and driving licenses, are closed. People are facing problems.
