CM Nayab Saini challenges Kejriwal’s claim, to file defamation suit on ‘Water terrorism’ remarks

Saini further said that the people of Haryana worship Yamuna and rejected the claim of poisoning the river water.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has challenged former Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s claim of poisoning the Yamuna River. Saini said that Kejriwal should immediately apologize to the people of Haryana and Delhi for his statement, otherwise, a defamation case against him will be filed.

Saini further said that the people of Haryana worship Yamuna and rejected the claim of poisoning the river water.

On the other hand, on Tuesday, Delhi CM Atishi wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner demanding to stop the water. She said, ‘The level of ammonia in the water of Yamuna river entering Delhi from Haryana is 6 times more than normal. This level is very poisonous for the human body. This water cannot be given to the people of Delhi. Their lives will be at risk.’

Delhi Jal Board officials will go to inspect Yamuna today. On the other hand, the Election Commission has directed the Haryana government to provide a factual report on January 28.

A day earlier, on January 27, Kejriwal had accused the BJP government of Haryana of poisoning the Yamuna water. Kejriwal said- People of Delhi get drinking water from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Water comes to Delhi from Haryana in Yamuna. BJP’s Haryana government has poisoned the Yamuna water.

However, the Jal Board stopped that water from coming to Delhi. The BJP government has mixed such poison in the water, which cannot be cleaned even by water treatment plants. This has caused water shortage in one-third of Delhi. This has been done to create chaos in Delhi so that the people of Delhi die and the blame for this comes on AAP.

After Kejriwal’s statement came to light, Delhi Jal Board CEO Shilpa Shinde has written a letter to the Chief Secretary and termed his claim as wrong. She wrote in the letter- Arvind Kejriwal’s statement regarding ammonia in Yamuna due to Haryana has no basis. The facts mentioned in it are wrong and misleading. Such wrong statements create fear among the people of Delhi. It also has a bad effect on relations with other states. This matter should be brought to the notice of the Lieutenant Governor.
