Congress to contest civic body polls on its own symbol: MP Deepender Hooda

On the corporation elections, Deepender Hooda said that these elections should be held on ballot papers because people no longer have faith in EVMs.

Yamunanagar: This time Congress will contest the civic elections on its own symbol. Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda and Ambala MP Varun Chaudhary gave this information after meeting the workers. They also said that very soon the names of the candidates will also be announced. However, they admitted that Congress has suffered a crushing defeat in Delhi election. On the corporation elections, Deepender Hooda said that these elections should be held on ballot papers because people no longer have faith in EVMs.

Both the MPs also said that they hoped that the performance would be better this time because the people had faced problems in the earlier corporation elections, and now people have better solutions to get rid of those problems.

Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda said about the defeat in Delhi that there should be brainstorming on this defeat. However, he also said that the vote percentage of Congress has definitely increased in Delhi but the misunderstanding in the minds of the constituent parties should also be brainstormed on. If this brainstorming had happened earlier, perhaps such a situation would not have happened in Delhi.

Deepender Hooda claimed that this time the mood of the public has changed regarding the corporation elections to be held in Haryana because people had faced a lot of problems in the first corporation elections. Deepender Hooda reiterated that Congress is contesting the elections on its symbol and will soon announce the names of its candidates.

Deepender Hooda took a dig at the Chief Minister regarding Haryana and said that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is being taunted by his own government minister Anil Vij, commenting on his traveling in a helicopter. Deepender Hooda said that after the Delhi elections, the Chief Minister is tasting jalebi, he should stay away from these things and focus on the development work of Haryana.
