Temporary employees who collect garbage door-to-door in Ambala Cantt have not received their salaries for three months. On Tuesday morning, the employees reached to meet Minister Anil Vij. But, they were not allowed to meet the minister. Yesterday they also sat at the Municipal Council office and started protesting. They also staged a dharna, but no solution was found. Today, they reached out to meet Minister Anil Vij, but the officials did not let them reach the minister. There is anger among the employees.
According to the information, temporary employees started gathering at the T point in Sadar, Ambala Cantt. Ambala Cantt Police was also on alert and police force was also deployed on the apprehension of a protest. As soon as Cabinet Minister Anil Vij reached the T point, they gathered and started moving forward. The police force kept them under control for a long time. But when the matter did not seem to be resolved, the SHO called the secretary of the committee and got the memorandum. Then they calmed down.
On getting information about the matter, the contractor has said that soon the salary of door to door outsourcing employees will be deposited in their account. After which the employees returned after handing over the memorandum to the secretary. However, he has said that if the salary is not received within two days, then there will be a protest again.
Rahul of Shri Shyam Associates says that due to some problem in the software, the salary could not be paid. The problems will be fixed in a few days and the salary will be paid. The employees are also being explained so that they do not protest and sit on dharna.
