Haryana: The counting of votes cast for the Lok Sabha general election 2024 will be held on June 4. Counting of votes of all four assembly constituencies of Gurugram district namely Pataudi, Badshahpur, Sohna and Gurgaon will be done at Government Girls College, Sector 14. District Election Officer and DC Nishant Kumar Yadav held a meeting of AROs of all assembly constituencies at Government Girls College on Friday regarding the preparations for counting of votes and visited the counting centres built in the campus.
Nishant Kumar Yadav said that there will be a system of passes of different colours for the staff and agents of the candidates for counting of votes. Entry with mobile inside the counting center will be prohibited.
All agents will have to follow the rules laid down by the Election Commission of India.
Information about the rules has been made available to all the candidates. Entry inside the counting centre will start from six in the morning. If anyone comes out after entering the counting center, he will not be allowed to enter again.
The District Election Officer said that this time the Election Commission of India has appointed observers for counting of votes. One observer for Gurgaon and Sohna and one for Badshahpur and Pataudi will be present at the counting center. He told that a media center will also be made in the campus for the media. Instructions were also given to the concerned officials regarding parking arrangements, refreshments, drinking water and other basic facilities in the Government Girls College campus.
On this occasion, ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena, Sohna SDM Sonu Bhatt, Gurugram SDM Ravindra Kumar, Pataudi SDM Hoshiyaar Singh, District Council CEO Jagnivas, Municipal Corporation Gurugram Joint Commissioner Dr. Naresh Kumar and other officials were also present.
