Charkhi Dadri: The Cyber Station Police team in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, has succeeded in tracing 21 lost mobile phones. The price of these phones is around Rs 7 lakh. On Monday, the mobile owners were called to the SP office, and their mobile phones were returned.
SP Pooja Vashisht said that while the cyber cell is playing an important role in tightening the noose on crime and criminals, the team of District Cyber Cell in-charge Head Constable Yogesh has done a commendable job by gathering important clues and finding 21 mobile phones worth about Rs 7 lakh lost by the common people from April to June 2024.
The SP said that the cyber cell of the police has succeeded in tracing 36 lost mobile phones worth about Rs 12 lakh so far in the year 2024. These phones were traced while monitoring the complaints of missing mobiles received on the CEAR portal. The speciality of this portal run by the Government of India is that after registering a complaint on it, the IMEI of the mobile gets blocked.
The Superintendent of Police also appealed to the general public to keep their mobile phones completely safe. In case your mobile phone gets lost, immediately get your number blocked and inform the nearest police. So that people with criminal tendencies cannot misuse the lost mobile phone in any way.
