Gangster evades court appearance in Chandigarh

He will be declared fugitive if he does not appear, hearing will be held on August 9.

Chandigarh: The district court has started the process of declaring Dharmendra, the accused who gave shelter to the attackers in the murder case of financier Sonu Shah in Burail, Chandigarh, a fugitive.

The accused Dharmendra in this case has not been appearing in the court for the last several months after getting bail. Due to which the court has taken strict action and prepared to declare him a fugitive.

The next hearing of this case in the district court will now be on August 9. If the accused Dharmendra does not appear in the court even on the said date, the court will declare him a fugitive. Let us tell you that apart from Dharmendra and Lawrence, gangster Deepak Ranga is also an accused in this case. Whose name also came up in the RPG attack on the Intelligence Headquarters building in Mohali.

Ajay was brutally murdered in Chandigarh Sector 25 last year. After this, the police registered an FIR in the case and also arrested some attackers.

During that investigation, the name of absconding accused Dharmendra also came to the fore.

In 2019, property dealer Sonu Shah was shot dead by some armed miscreants in his office in Budail. Accused Dharmendra, a resident of Budail, is accused of sheltering the accused attackers who came to kill Sonu Shah. During the police investigation in the case, it was revealed that the murder was committed at the behest of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The police had also made Lawrence an accused in this case.
