Drug smuggler arrested in Ambala, heroin recovered

Ambala Superintendent of Police Ajit Singh Shekhawat said that continuous campaigns are being run by the police to stop drug smuggling.

Police have arrested a smuggler in the case of drug smuggling in Ambala, Haryana. Police have also recovered heroin from the accused. Police will interrogate the accused in this case. For which he has been taken on remand.

Interrogation will be done in remand

Police spokesperson said that on June 7, 2025, on the basis of secret information, CIA-Narayangarh arrested accused Mohammad Junaid resident Ganesh Vihar near Tangri Dam Police Station, Mahesh Nagar District Ambala with 55 grams of heroin in the case of drug smuggling from Purana Bus Stand Shahzadpur Link Road. Now the court has sent him on three-day remand. The accused will be interrogated.

Heroin found during search

Police spokesperson said that the police team of CIA-Narayangarh had received information that the accused works in drug smuggling. Who has a huge amount of drugs. It was also reported that the accused is standing on the link road near the old bus stand Shahjadpur to sell drugs. On receiving the information, the police caught the suspect and searched him and recovered 55 grams of heroin from him. The police arrested him along with the drugs and a case has been registered at Shahjadpur police station.
