Effect of Western Disturbance in Haryana: Hisar @7.5 degree records season’s coldest night

The air of Mandikheda and Palwal was the cleanest in the state, but the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 237 in Bahadurgarh.

The weather has changed in Haryana due to the western disturbance activated in the mountains. Light fog has started to cover many districts in the morning and evening. Also, a drop in mercury is being seen. A drop in the minimum night temperature has been seen in 24 hours.

Hisar has recorded the coldest weather of the season so far. The minimum temperature here has been recorded as the lowest at 7.5 degrees. At the same time, people have also got relief from pollution due to the blowing of winds. The air of Mandikheda and Palwal was the cleanest in the state, but the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 237 in Bahadurgarh.

Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology of Agricultural University, said that the weather is likely to remain dry till December 2. There is a possibility of slight drop in night temperature and light fog and smog till November 30. Due to the partial effect of weak western disturbance at night, there will be clouds on 1 and 2 December due to change in the direction of the wind and the night temperature will drop due to cloud cover.

The Meteorological Department has not issued a fog warning for any district. However, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Jind, Mahendragarh, Sirsa, Hisar, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Rewari, Gurugram and Faridabad are likely to have fog in the morning and evening.

The Meteorological Department has predicted visibility between 100 and 200 meters in these districts. Along with this, drivers have been alerted to keep fog lamps and other necessary facilities in their vehicles during fog.
