Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0 campaign launched, 1.82 lakh saplings will be planted in the state

To participate in the event, the Chief Minister reached Dadri in an electric car.

The second phase of the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, launched on the call of PM Narendra Modi, started in Haryana on Thursday. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini started the campaign from Charkhi Dadri in the presence of Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh. To participate in the event, the Chief Minister reached Dadri in an electric car.

The Chief Minister said that this time the theme of the campaign will be plastic free and the state government is working towards reducing water, air and soil pollution. He flagged off 5 electronic buses in Charkhi Dadri. Addressing the event, Nayab Singh Saini said that 450 new electronic buses will be included in all the transport depots of Haryana by the year 2026.

He said that a diesel bus consumes 1.5 lakh liters of diesel in 10 years and this increases pollution significantly. In view of this, 30 percent electronic buses will be included in the fleet of Haryana Transport Department within the next 5 years. Soon new electronic buses will be sent to Gurugram, Faridabad, Yamunanagar, Rohtak, Hisar and Panit. MP Dharambir Singh, Dadri MLA Sunil Sangwan, Badhra MLA Umed Patuwas and Ransingh Panihar along with BJP District President Sunil Engineer, Municipal Council Chairman Bakshiram Saini etc. were present in the event.

Naib Singh Saini said that under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 1.0 campaign, 1.60 lakh saplings have been planted in the state, while this time 1.82 lakh saplings will be planted in the name of mother. He told that Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0 campaign has been started from Charkhi Dadri.

Environment Minister said- Do not print cards for weddings, send invitations only on WhatsApp

Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh, who reached the event, appealed to the people through the stage not to print cards on weddings or auspicious occasions. He said that cards are prepared by cutting trees. He said that I did not even print the shagun card for my son and daughter’s wedding and still thousands of guests attended the program.
