Encounter between Haryana Police and miscreants: One got shot in leg; 3 wanted in ransom-loot case from Bikaneri Mishthan Bhandar arrested

Sonipat: CIA-2 of SAG unit in Sonipat district of Haryana has arrested three criminals after an encounter. One of these criminals has been shot in the leg. The injured has been referred to Khanpur Hospital after first aid. According to the police, these criminals had recently demanded ransom from a confectioner. They were also wanted.

According to the police, these criminals had recently demanded ransom from a confectioner. They were also wanted in a robbery case. There was also information that these criminals were planning to commit a major crime in the city. Before this, they have been caught.

Encounter happened in the early morning

In-charge of Sonipat SAG Unit CIA-2 Ajay Dhankar has told that the police had received information that three criminals were planning to commit a crime. On this information, the police immediately reached the spot and cordoned off the area.

On this, the criminals started firing at the police. In retaliation, a criminal Lakshya got shot in the leg. Lakshya was the one who had fired at the police. However, his two companions Raunak and Shubham were surrounded and captured by the police. This encounter took place at around 2.40 am today.

The miscreants had demanded ransom from Bikaneri Mishthan Bhandar

According to the police, the three miscreants had demanded ransom from the owner of Bikaneri Mishthan Bhandar in Sonipat 3 days ago. When the shopkeeper refused to pay the ransom, the miscreants threatened to shoot him. Since then, the police was searching for them.

Gun and bullet shells recovered

Out of the arrested accused, Lakshya and Raunak are residents of Bhatgaon. Whereas, Shubham is a resident of Kakaroi village. According to police records, Lakshya and Raunak have been involved in many criminal cases in the past. Cases of robbery, extortion and other crimes are registered against them.

Ajay Dhankhar said that the police will also investigate the records of the accused to find out what other crimes they have committed. At present, a bike, 2 mobile phones, a 315 bore country-made pistol and bullet shells have been recovered from these miscreants.

Interrogation of the three accused is going on

Ajay Dhankhar said that all the three miscreants have been arrested on charges of being involved in robbery and extortion. A case has been registered against all the accused and further action is being taken. Police suspect that this gang is also involved in many other crimes in Sonipat and surrounding areas.
