Jind: There was an encounter between the police and the criminals in Jind’s Narwana late on Friday night. During this, bullets were fired from both sides in which the criminals’ car was hit by a bullet. Actually, the criminals had come to take a ransom of Rs 2 crore from a businessman. But on seeing police on spot, they got nervous and started firing.
After the incident, the criminals left the car and ran towards the forest. The police seized the car in which the miscreants came and started investigation. A sword and two pistols have been recovered from the car. According to the information received, the ransom money was to be given to the criminals at Vishwakarma Chowk in Narwana.
According to the investigating police, extortion was demanded from a businessman of Gohana. The businessman agreed to give the money but he also informed the police about it. It was decided to give an amount of Rs 2 crore to the criminals. According to the plan, the criminals reached the decided location at night and at the same time the Sonipat CIA team also reached the spot and firing started from both sides.
According to the information received, ransom was demanded from the businessman on November 23. He had brought 10 lakh rupees as ransom money. At present, the police have cordoned off the entire area and the police claim that the criminals will be arrested soon.
