Khanauri: The hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal on the Khanauri border of Punjab and Haryana has entered the 71st day. He is only drinking water. In this connection, today on Tuesday, farmers from more than 50 villages of Haryana will reach the front with water from their fields. Dallewal will consume the same water.
On the other hand, farmers are making strategies to make the Kisan Mahapanchayats to be held from 11 to 13 February a success. All the big farmer leaders are going from village to village and holding meetings. So that they can show their strength before the meeting with the central government on the 14th.
Farmers will hold a meeting in front of the central government
Farmers have been protesting since February at Shambhu and Khanauri borders of Punjab and Haryana over 13 demands including legal guarantee of MSP for crops. This struggle is going on under the banner of Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. On Monday, a meeting of both the fronts was held. In this, a strategy was prepared for the arrangements of Mahapanchayats.
While what strategy will the farmers take to the meeting with the central government on February 14. All the strategies will be made later. Mahapanchayat will be held on Ratanpura Morcha on February 11, while Kisan Mahapanchayat will be organized on Khanauri border on February 12 and Shambhu Morcha on February 13.
Farmers will go to Ferozepur on February 11
Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has called upon the people to join these mahapanchayats in large numbers. Especially the youth and women should also come out of their homes. So that this fight can be made successful. Before these mahapanchayats, the farmers will surround the SSP office in Ferozepur on February 11. The farmer says that before the assembly elections in the year 2022, PM Narendra Modi had visited Punjab.
During this time, cases have been registered against the farmers for security lapse. Whereas the farmers did not even go near the PM. The farmers have called upon the people to reach Ferozepur in large numbers. This struggle will be carried out under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Union Krantikari Punjab and Krantikari Pendu Mazdoor Union Punjab, the supporting organizations of SKM non-political.
