Fatehabad : A cylinder used for welding suddenly exploded in a Scrap shop in Ratia area of Fatehabad, Haryana on Wednesday. This caused a massive fire in the scrap shop.
The shop owner, his son and another person were badly burnt due to the fire. All three were immediately brought to the civil hospital. The father and son were referred to Agroha Medical College due to their critical condition.
At the same time, the fire brigade vehicle reached the spot to extinguish the fire. Scrap items have been burnt due to the fire. It is being told that the oxygen cylinder was lying outside the shop and it blasted due to heat.
According to the information, a person named Birju runs a scrap shop on Budlada Road in Ratia. There is also a cutter and welding equipment to cut the iron items coming to the shop. Oxygen used in welding was kept outside the shop. The cylinder suddenly blasted and caught fire. At that time Birju, his son and another person named Ravindra were present in the shop, all three were burnt by the fire.
The blast and fire created an atmosphere of chaos. After which the fire brigade was informed. The firemen are engaged in extinguishing the fire. Ravindra told that all three of them were sitting in the shop and the cylinder was kept outside. Suddenly it caught fire and blasted. He says that this incident happened due to the heat.
