Fraud with female teacher in Rewari in name of gas connection

Sent a message about the IGL connection being cut and made a WhatsApp call; the account cleared as soon as the link was clicked. 

Rewari: A female teacher was cheated in the Rewari district of Haryana. A cunning person sent a message on her mobile regarding the disconnection of the IGL gas connection. After this, a call was made on WhatsApp. After some time, a link was sent. As soon as it was clicked, 77,500 rupees were withdrawn from the female teacher’s account. Kasaula police station has registered a case of fraud on the complaint of the victim and started action.

According to the information received, female teacher Neelam, a resident of village Shahbazpur Khalsa in Rewari district, said that a message came on her mobile number in the evening. It was written in it that your IGL gas connection will be cut tonight at 9:30 pm. However, no reason was given for cutting the connection. After this, a voice call was made to her on WhatsApp. A link was also sent.

According to Neelam, she had clicked on the link, but she did not receive any OTP. Later, when she checked her SBI credit card balance, Rs 75,533 had been deducted from it. After gathering information related to the credit card, Neelam complained to the Kasaula police station. The police have registered a case of fraud on Neelam’s complaint. Also, the accounts in which money was transferred from Neelam’s credit card are being investigated.
