Sonipat: A massive fire broke out late Monday night in the Ferozepur Bangar Industrial Area in Kharkhoda of Sonipat district in Haryana. Four factories were engulfed in the fire, causing panic in the area. It is being told that the fire broke out in the Taj Enterprises paint factory, in which drums filled with paint in large quantities were kept.
As soon as the fire started, these drums started blasting, due to which the fire took a monstrous form and engulfed three other factories nearby. A Bolero was also burnt to ashes due to the fire.
The fire was brought under control after 8 hours of hard work
Fire employee Om Prakash said that as soon as the fire broke out, the local people immediately informed the fire brigade. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, 16 fire engines from 10 different stations reached the spot. Fire brigade teams arrived from Kharkhoda, Bahadurgarh, Sampla, Rohtak, Gohana, Ganaur, Samalkha, Education City Rai, Sector 23 and Kundli and after about 8 hours of effort, the fire was brought under control.
The fire spread rapidly and three more factories were engulfed in it
According to the information, after the fire broke out in Taj Enterprises, 15 drums filled with paint kept there exploded one after the other. Due to the explosions, the fire also spread to three other factories located nearby. Medical gloves were made in one of these factories, plastic bags and other materials were made in the other factory. Due to the flammable materials, the fire took a terrible form very quickly. During this, a Bolero car parked in the medical gloves factory also burned to ashes.
Loss of crores, cause of fire unknown
The fire in the factories has caused losses worth crores of rupees. However, there is no report of any casualties. Police and fire department officials have reached the spot and are investigating the cause of the fire.
In the initial investigation, a short circuit or spark in a flammable substance is suspected, but the exact cause of the fire has not been revealed yet. The local administration and police are on alert since the incident. The outpost Saidpur police is investigating the entire matter thoroughly. The factory owners are being questioned and a forensic team has also been called to find out the cause of the fire.
The factory owners have suffered huge losses due to this fire. The fire completely destroyed the raw materials, finished products and machinery kept in the factories. It is estimated that the fire has caused losses worth several crores.
