An incident of firing took place outside the court premises in Karnal on Wednesday. When two youths were eating a fruit chart, two attackers riding a Splendor bike opened fire on them. Both youths were injured in this attack and were immediately taken to the hospital.
The police reached the spot and recovered the bullet shells. Civil Lines police station in-charge Jai Bhagwan and DSP Rajiv inspected the spot and formed teams for investigation.
According to preliminary information, one of the injured youth, identified as Happy, a resident of Gharaunda, was eating a fruit chart with his friend outside the court premises. Then, two youths wearing helmets came on a Splendor bike and opened fire on them.
At present, the police are investigating the matter, and efforts are being made to identify the attackers and arrest them. The reason behind the incident is believed to be mutual enmity.
