Former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar takes charge of Ministry of Power, says ‘We will work for Developed India’

The Minister of State in the Ministry of Power, Shripad Yesso Naik was also present at the occasion.

New Delhi: Former Haryana Chief Minister and now a cabinet minister in Modi 3.0, Manohar Lal Khattar took charge as Union Minister of Power today here at Shram Shakti Bhawan.

In addition to the Ministry of Power, he also took charge of portfolio of Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs at Shram Shakti Bhawan today. Secretary, Ministry of Power, Pankaj Agarwal along with the senior officials of the ministry welcomed the Minister.

The former Minister of Power, Raj Kumar Singh, extended a warm welcome to his successor. The Minister of State in the Ministry of Power, Shripad Yesso Naik was also present at the occasion.

The Union Minister was briefed by senior officials of the Minister of Power and after taking the charge, he also took a review meeting regarding the power supply position in the country.

After taking charge, Manohar Lal Khattar took to X and shared a video of him taking charge. In the post he said, “Took charge as Union Power Minister today. Under the successful leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the Ministry of Energy will continuously work for ‘Developed India’.”

After the allocation of portfolios, different cabinet ministers took charge of their offices today. Earlier in the morning, Dr S. Jaishankar, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Chirag Paswan and others took charge of their respective ministry.
