Fraud of 14 Lakh Rupees in Panipat Under the Guise of Sending a Young Man to Australia

The father filed a complaint with the police, based on which a case has been registered.

A person from Panipat cheated a workshop owner in the city of 14 lakh rupees, promising to send his son to Australia. The son was sent to another country and kept in a room for several days. After some time, he returned and told his family about the ordeal.

The accused neither refunded the money nor sent him to Australia. The father filed a complaint with the police, based on which a case has been registered.

Accused visited to get his vehicle repaired

In the complaint to the police, Narendra, a resident of Jaatal Road, explained that he runs a car denting and painting business. A person named Jasbir, a resident of village Dhaar, came to his workshop to get his vehicle repaired. Jasbir, while talking, mentioned sending children abroad and asked for 28 lakh rupees to send Narendra’s son, Kamal, to Australia.

Not only that, Jasbir took all of Kamal’s documents and allegedly processed the Australian visa file. On July 7, 2023, he collected an immigration fee of 54,000 rupees. When the file was canceled, Jasbir took an additional 5 lakh rupees and sent Kamal, purportedly to Australia, via ship to another country. After Kamal boarded the ship, Jasbir took another 3 lakh rupees. When Kamal contacted his family, they found out that he had been sent to a different country.

The young man reported a life threat in the other country

When questioned by the family, Jasbir told them that it would take another 10-15 days before Kamal would go to Australia. He then demanded another 5 lakh rupees. Kamal felt his life was in danger in the other country, so his family arranged for his return to India. Jasbir continued to deceive them and took another 8 lakh rupees. In this way, he kept misleading Kamal and managed to cheat him of around 13 lakh 84 thousand rupees.
