Good News for Players in Haryana: State Govt likely to restore 3% reservation in all departmental posts of group C

The state government had earlier abolished the reservation of sports quota in Group A, B, C posts.

Chandigarh: Players of Haryana can get good news. The state government can restore 3% reservation in all departmental posts of Group C. Till now, there is a provision of recruiting players on Group C posts in only 7 departments. The players have been opposing this from day one. The state government had earlier abolished the reservation of sports quota in Group A, B, C posts.

Later when it was restored, the quota equal to 3% of the posts selected by Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) in a year in all Group C was restored, but it was first limited to four departments, Home, Secondary Education, Primary Education and Sports.

When the protest increased, it was increased and limited to 7 departments. Now Chief Minister Nayab Saini himself is serious about this important demand of the players. The CM has given the responsibility of this to Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar.

Regarding this, Chief Principal Secretary to the CM Rajesh Khullar has now taken charge. He held a meeting with the officials of the Sports Department and HSSC to resolve this issue. In the meeting, it was discussed how the reservation for sportspersons was abolished in all the posts of all the departments of Group C.

Information was also taken about how many posts have been filled under this policy till now. This point was also discussed that sports reservation should be restored in all the posts of Group C in all the departments. The final decision has to be taken by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
