Gurugram administration to demolish the fourth floor built illegally on 59 houses

During the investigation, it came to light that the architect was negligent in issuing possession certificates for illegally constructed houses by bypassing the rules.

Gurugram: Gurugram administration has come back into action after the elections, despite the ban, DTP has prepared a plan to demolish the fourth floor built illegally on 59 houses. DTP has now issued show cause notices to all the house owners and has also sought a reply. While DTP’s survey has revealed that in 15 of these houses, families have started living on the fourth floor.

According to the survey of DTP, 23 houses in Ansal Varshali, four in South City-1, three in DLF Phase-1, five in South City-2, four in DLF Phase-2, three in Sushant Lok-1, three in Malibu Town, DLF Phase-5, Greenwood City, Aaron Villa, Mayfield Garden, Palam Vihar, one/one in Central Park of Ansal Ascendant Sohna, six houses in Anantraj Estate have illegally constructed fourth floor. Occupation certificate of all these houses has been cancelled.

During the investigation, it came to light that the architect was negligent in issuing possession certificates for illegally constructed houses by bypassing the rules. One architect gave occupation certificate to 28 houses in a single day. Apart from this, another architect also wrongly issued occupation certificate to illegal houses in just two days.

Preparations are being made to blacklist 18 architects who have wrongly prepared occupation certificates in all departments of Haryana. This will also be done in HSVP, HSIIDC, Manesar and Gurugram Municipal Corporation, GMDA and Town and Country Planning Department.
